Global specialty insurer Ryan Specialty has promoted Michael VanAcker to Executive Vice President of RT Specialty, Ryan Specialty’s wholesale brokerage and binding authority specialty, effective immediately.
In the role, VanAcker will work closely with Tim Turner, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of RT Specialty, Ed McCormack, President of RT Specialty, as well as the regional directors and leadership and broking talent throughout RT Specialty.
Overall, VanAcker has over 10 years of experience in the firm as Chief Operating Officer of Ryan Specialty, and prior to that as RT Specialty’s COO and Controller.
Throughout his tenure at the firm, he has played a significant role within Ryan Specialty’s M&A activity, acquisition integration, and the firm’s growth trajectory.

In their Q4 22 results, Ryan Specialty reported revenue growth of 14.9% to $435 million, as net income also increased by almost 55% to $45.8 million, compared with $29.6 million from the prior year.
