SCOR Global Life has appointed Brona Magee to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer; replacing Simon Pearson, who is due to retire. She currently serves as Head of Client Solutions at SGL and is a member of its Executive Leadership team.
Effective September 5, Magee will be responsible for Global Markets, overseeing the implementation of SGL’s strategy across all regions.
Whilst remaining in Dublin, Magee will also maintain responsibility for Client Solutions, ensuring that a suite of solutions is available to SGL’s clients.
Outgoing Duputy CEO, Pearson, will become the Senior Advisor to the firm’s CEO from September 5 in order to aid a smooth transition.
Pearson has served as Deputy CEO of SGL since 2014. He was also appointed Head of Global Markets in November 2017 and has been a member of SGL’s Executive Leadership team as of 2006.
Additionally, Xavier Savigny has been appointed Group Head of Human Resources and Transformation, while Michael Nguyen will become Group Head of Operations Strategy & Project Office
As Group Head of Human Resources at SCOR, Savigny will be responsible for implementing policies that “reflect the evolution” of Human Resources as a strategic function. In his role as Group Head of Transformation, he will focus on enhancing the Group’s operational efficiency, notably through organisational design.
Savigny will report to Romain Launay, Group Chief Operating Officer.
As Group Head of Operations Strategy and Project Office, Nguyen will lead SCOR’s operations strategy from planning to execution. He will also lead the Group Project Office, which is tasked with governing the Group’s strategic project portfolio and providing project management and internal consulting services.
