French reinsurance firm SCOR has made some senior appointments in its Global P&C division, the most prominent of which is the promotion of Laurent Rousseau to Deputy CEO of SCOR Global P&C.
Rousseau will also join the reinsurer’s Executive Committee from April 1st 2018 and additionally take on the role of Chief Underwriting Officer for Specialty Lines and Business Solutions.
Rousseau, who was most recently Chief Underwriting Officer of SCOR Global P&C’s treaty business in EMEA, has held a number of advisory, strategy, and underwriting positions since joining the firm in 2010.
Rousseau replaces Benjamin Gentsch who is leaving SCOR as of April 1st 2018. Gentsch had been CEO of SCOR Switzerland and Deputy CEO of SCOR Global P&C for over 10 years
Douglas Lacoss, currently SCOR Global P&C’s Chief Reserving Actuary has been promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer for the EMEA treaty business, replacing Rousseau.
Ecaterina Nisipasu, currently Head of Actuarial Modelling, has been promoted to Head of Reserving, Capital Modelling & Risk Management for SCOR Global P&C, largely as a replacement for Lacoss and his current Chief Reserving Actuary position.
Andreas Frank takes on the now vacant CEO of SCOR Switzerland AG and SCOR Holding (Switzerland) AG role, which had been filled by Gentsch. He currently holds the roles of Chief Financial Officer for SCOR Switzerland AG and CEO of SCOR Services Switzerland AG.
