Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU), a division of Brit Ltd, has announced that Scott Davis has joined the firm from Pioneer Underwriters, to serve as Vice President (VP), Programs Underwriting.
Davis starts his new role in December, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and will report to Noreen Metcalfe, Executive Vice President, Reinsurance.
In his new role, Davis takes on responsibility for managing BGSU’s Programs team, working to develop and expand the current portfolio of risks. His remit will also see him lead the underwriting teams as it targets new business opportunities.
He brings more than 25 years of underwriting experience to the role and joins from Pioneer, where he served as Head of Underwriting Management. Previously, Davis has held senior positions at AXIS Insurance, and American Safety Insurance Services, having started his underwriting career with AIG.
