Sedgwick has announced the structure of its new UK leadership team with the appointments of Ian Muress as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), International, Stewart Steel as CEO, UK, and Paul White as Chief Operating Officer (COO), UK.
The team will lead Sedgwick’s new combined business operations in the UK, and the announcement follows the completion of Sedgwick’s acquisition of Cunningham Lindsey, a global loss adjusting, claims management, and risk solutions firm.
Although he will be based in London, as CEO of Sedgwick International, Muress will provide executive oversight for all of Sedgwick’s business operations outside the U.S and Canada.
Muress joins Sedgwick from Crawford & Company, where he served as CEO, International Operations to the independent claims management firm for 15 years.
He will be supported in the management of Sedgwick’s UK business by Steel, who has led the UK operations of Sedgwick’s Vericlaim since 2009, and who brings over 35 years’ experience in the loss adjusting business to his new position.
White will become Sedgwick’s COO, UK having spent the previous nine years in the same role at Cunningham Lindsey, before which he held a number of positions at London’s Capita Insurance Services, overseeing operations management and strategic planning.
