Seychelles Reinsurance Global Limited (SeyRe Global), a Barbados-domiciled, Class 2 re/insurer has promoted Vanida Pillay to become its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Pillay has over three decades of industry experience across underwriting, business development, claims management, reinsurance broking, and construction and engineering insurance.
She also has strong client and industry relationships, having most recently served as the Regional Director – East, Central & Lusophone Markets at SeyRe Global.
Prior to this, she served as the CEO of MNK RE South Africa, part of MNK Re Limited, for nearly two years. In the past, Pillay spent over a decade at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) as a Senior Engineering Underwriter. She started her career at Aon Risk Services SA as a Strategic Account Executive at Eskom Holdings in 2008.
