Specialty P&C re/insurer Sompo International Holdings has expanded its capabilities in Mexico with the addition of a new Global Risk Solutions team.
The team will look to offer Mexico-based clients in the real estate, hospitality, financial institutions, professional services and life sciences industries a full suite of products including package, property, general liability, umbrella and environmental.
As part of the expansion, Miguel Angel Macias Romo joins as industry vertical leader and will oversee Sompo GRS’ expansion in Mexico.
He brings over 30 years’ property and casualty insurance experience and began his career as an insurance broker in Mexico and France before helping to lead the expansion of several U.S. insurance carriers into the Mexican market.
