Aon, a major global professional services and consulting firm, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Mike Reid as EMEA CEO of Facultative Reinsurance, effective July 1, 2026.
Based in London, the executive will report to both Tomas Novotny, EMEA CEO and International Chairman for Reinsurance, and Nick Fraccalvieri, the Global CEO of Facultative Reinsurance.
Reid is succeeding Fraccalvieri, who transitioned to the global leadership role in March after leading Facultative for EMEA for three years.
As a key member of the global leadership group, the executive will build on this strong foundation, continuing to deliver solutions that help shape better capital decisions for clients.

Bringing nearly three decades of experience across the insurance industry, Reid joins Aon from Sompo, where he served as head of UK property and casualty.
Trhoughout his career, he has also led underwriting teams and portfolios across UK commercial insurance as well as international wholesale and specialty lines.
