Specialist renewable energy insurer GCube Underwriting has strengthened its executive and underwriting team with the appointment of Steve Allen and Adam Hearn to Director and Senior Underwriter respectively.
The appointees both join GCube from RSA Group where Allen was Director of Engineering Construction and Renewable Energy and Hearn worked for over twenty years of experience as an underwriter in the power and engineering sectors, specialising in renewable energy.
In his new role, Hearn will assume responsibility for expanding the underwriting platform and defining the global growth strategy for new territories.
GCube’s current portfolio covers over 85GW of renewable energy assets worldwide.
Commenting on his appointment, Hearn said; “I’m looking forward to working as part of a specialist renewable energy underwriting team, and all the benefits this brings, both in terms of the strength of sector-wide relationships and the great depth of technology and market-specific data available.”
At GCube, his focus will be on solar and wind energy in the emerging markets, as the business continues to expand its London-based team in support of the project developers, asset owners and investors driving the firm’s global growth of renewable energy.
Allen added he was delighted to be joining GCube, who have established themselves as the market leader in underwriting renewable energy projects worldwide.
