Carsten Nawrath is set to lead Starr Insurance Companies’ new aviation insurance operation based in Munich, Germany, as Aviation Underwriting Manager.

n his new role, Nawrath will report directly to Joost Vink, Head of Europe for Starr. Starr Insurance Companies explains that its new aviation insurance unit will write Aerospace and General Aviation business for clients across Central Europe.
Nawrath most recently worked in the Corporate Solutions arm of reinsurance giant Swiss Re as Head of General Aviation and Aerospace EMEA. He has held a number of senior positions across the aviation and aerospace sector, and as well as his time with Swiss Re he has also served as the Lead Facultative Underwriter Aviation, at GE Insurance Solutions.
