Stephen White to lead AXA XL’s Alt Risk and Captives team

AXA XL, the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, has announced the appointment of Stephen White as Alternative Risk and Captives Leader for Canada.

AXA logoIn his new role, based in Toronto, White will oversee the continued growth of the company’s captive business in Canada, working closely with clients and broking partners to develop new and innovative solutions.

He has more than 30 years of experience leading a wide range of risk management and operations at Canada’s leading brokerages and some of Canada’s top financial institutions.

White joins AXA XL from Purves Redmond Limited where he led the Alternative Risk Transfer Practice. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Risk Services at PLATFORM Insurance, and Head of Risk Management at Zurich Insurance before that.

He has also held senior positions at The Kane Group, Canada Imperial Bank of Commerce, Royal Bank of Canada, Marsh Canada, Eon and EY.
