Global insurance and reinsurance broker, Willis Towers Watson, has announced the appointment of Susan Lane as director, consulting and development for North America and senior captive consultant, based in Bermuda.
Lane was previously the co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tokio Solution Management, and her new role sees her form part of Willis’ Global Captive practice.
Based in Bermuda, Lane will report to Sean Rider, managing director, consulting and development, Global Captive practice.
In her new role, Lane will be tasked with driving strategy and business development across the Willis captive consulting business in North America, and sees her collaborate with various Willis operating segments and product lines. This includes the broker’s Alternative Risk Financing unit, Willis Towers Watson Securities and Risk Consulting Services.
Lane has more than 18 years of industry experience, which includes experience in the design of alternative risk transfer solutions, and the expanding insurance-linked securities (ILS) sector.
