Matthias Meyenhofer has joined Swiss Re’s Reinsurance EMEA division as Head of Large P&C Transactions Continental Europe, effective from November 1st.
In his new role, Meyenhofer will be based in Zurich and will report to Nikhil da Victoria Lobo, Head Western & Southern Europe, and will also work closely with the CM and UW community across NCEE.
As Head of Large P&C Transactions Continental Europe, he will be tasked with driving transaction origination for Client Markets across Europe, leveraging his expertise, network, and commercial background. Swiss Re adds that Meyenhofer will work closely with both PCSS and BD.
He brings extensive experience in sales, underwriting and broking to the firm, having previously led Aon’s reinsurance business in Bermuda.
Prior to this, he served as Managing Director, Head of Global Partners at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, and earlier in his career spent time with both Chubb and AXIS Capital.
