Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the large primary commercial insurance arm of global reinsurer Swiss Re, has announced the appointment of Jeff Summerville as Head of Casualty, Financial & Professional Services, North America, effective immediately.
Summerville has effectively managed Swiss Re Corporate Solution’s Financial & Professional Lines businesses in North America since 2014, and now adds Head of Casualty for North America to his role, taking over from Robley Moor, who transitioned to the company’s Sales organization as a Key Account Manager.
While at Swiss Re, Summerville has overseen the growth of the Management Liability, Professional Liability, Cyber and Transactional Liability operations, and will now also oversee the unit’s North American Casualty business.
He brings over 25 years of industry experience to the role, and is an expert in management liability insurance and alternative risk transfer solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ North America Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ivan Gonzalez, said; “Jeff’s considerable experience and proven success managing our Financial & Professional Lines makes him an ideal leader for our Casualty business. I’m confident he will successfully continue to manage our strong market position across all Casualty lines by optimizing opportunities in the current market environment.”
