Swiss Re Corporate Solutions approved to operate in Mexico

Global reinsurer Swiss Re’s newly licensed Mexico City branch, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions México Seguros S.A. de C.V., began operations on January 2nd 2018 after receiving formal authorization from local insurance authorities.

Mexico flag mapThe Mexico branch will offer multi-line insurance cover to mid-sized and large companies and government entities through agents and brokers, with an initial focus on Engineering and Construction, General Liability, Marine and Property lines.

Carmina Abad, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions México Seguros, said: “By developing customized coverage tailored to each company or entity’s specific risks, we give our clients the peace of mind to focus on their businesses. We’re also committed to service excellence and strive to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and brokers.”

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has been registered as a foreign reinsurer in Mexico since 2014.

In addition to Mexico City, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions serves the Latin America market from offices in Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
