Reinsurer Swiss Re has appointed Harry Thomson as Head of Casualty Treaty Underwriting for the Northwest Europe region.
Thomson has worked at Swiss Re since 2017, during which time he has held a position as Senior Casualty Treaty Underwriter and Vice President, based in London.
Prior to this he spent four years at Berkley Re UK as an Assistant Casualty Treaty Underwriter.
Thomson commented that he was “happy to share” the news of his new position, which begins as of January 2023.
In other recent appointments at the company, Swiss Re has charged Matthias Meyenhofer with leading a new broker-dedicated Key Account Management team.
Also, Vanessa Lau and Pia Tischhauser will stand for election as new members of the company’s board at the upcoming AGM in April.
And Vasco Nunes was also recently appointed as Managing Director, Global Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at Swiss Re.
