The insurance division of AXA’s property & casualty and specialty risk division, AXA XL, has appointed Sylvie Gleises as Country Manager, Singapore, effective September 1st, 2021.
Currently, Gleises serves as Global Head of Revenue Synergies and Head of Client Management for APAC & Europe at AXA XL.
In her new role, which is subject to regulatory approval, she takes on oversight of the insurance operations and will drive AXA XL’s go-to-market strategy in Singapore.
Based in Singapore, Gleises will report to Gilles Fromageot, Regional Manager for Asia, AXA XL.

Gleises joined AXA back in 2006 and since then has held numerous strategic roles, including Chief of Staff to the Group’s former Chairman and CEO, Henri de Castries, CEO for Continental Europe and, Global Head of Distribution & Marketing for AXA Art.
AXA has also announced that Kevin Leong, who currently serves as Country Leader for AXA XL in Singapore, Managing Director for AXA Singapore Commercial Lines and Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for AXA Asian Markets, will be leaving the firm to pursue other opportunities.
