Synapse launches energy practice with new hire

Specialty wholesale insurance broker Synapse Services has announced the expansion of its business lines with a dedicated energy practice.

Emris Graham has been appointed Vice President to lead the new unit, effective immediately, and will operate out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Graham joins Synapse Services bringing over 16 years of experience broking complex energy related risks.

Prior to joining Synapse, he spent most of his insurance career in a retail capacity as Senior Vice President with McGriff, Seibels and Williams’ Energy and Construction Practice and more recently with Stephens Insurance, LLC.

Graham will continue to specialize in broking Upstream, Midstream and Downstream related risks but now in a wholesale capacity.

He has extensive experience in the development of insurance coverage programs for a range of traditional energy risks including liquid pipeline operations, midstream property exposures and oilfield contractors, as well as emerging renewables risks.
