AIG-owned re/insurer, Talbot Underwriting has promoted Mark Roddis to the newly created position of Head of Professional Indemnity.
Based in London, Roddis joined the firm in 2021 and took on the role of Professional Indemnity Class Underwriter.
Since he has been with the company, Roddis has played a significant role in growing Talbot Underwriting’s Commercial Professional Indemnity account offering and team.
Before he joined Talbot, Roddis spent over 11 years working at Hiscox, where he served in a variety of Underwriting Management roles.
Prior to that, he spent just under 16 years of service at Lockton Companies, where he held the role of Executive Director – SME PI Affinity.
Meanwhile, AIG achieved record underwriting profitability within its General Insurance division for FY22 to $2 billion, which alongside net realized gains on Fortitude Re funds withheld embedded derivative, contributed to a rise in net income to $10.2 billion for the year.
