Tech specialist MGA elseco has bolstered its leadership, risk analysis, and modelling capabilities within its space insurance team, naming Laurent Esquirol as Group Space Risks Technical Director and Ludovic Arnoux as Client Advocate and Launch System Technical Advisor.
elseco notes that despite employing the largest space underwriting team in the market, it continues to follow its motto “go beyond” by expanding its capabilities to analyse, adapt, and support rapid changes occurring in the industry.
Ludovic Arnoux has extensive experience in space engineering and space insurance underwriting, having begun his career working as an electrical specialist engineer and satellite integration manager for the launcher operator Arianespace.
He has since held positions as a senior space underwriter and Global Head of Aerospace Risk Consulting at AGCS, before creating his own company providing risk management and insurance consultancy services to clients worldwide.
Meanwhile, Esquirol joins elseco with a solid space industry and insurance market background, having most recently served as head of Space for Tokio Marine Kiln in Paris and before that Senior Space underwriter with Scor.
In his early career, Laurent worked with Thales Alenia Space as a Telecom satellite system engineer.
