Reinsurance brokerage firm Augment Risk has launched a dedicated insurance-linked-securities (ILS) division, led by newly appointed Thad Hall.
The division is a big step forward in Augment’s commitment to innovation across the reinsurance brokerage sector.
Based in New York, Hall joins the firm following a three year tenure at Ledger Investing, where he previously held the role of Managing Director.
Prior to joining Ledger Investing, Hall served as a Principal at Y-Risk, a subsidiary of The Hartford. He served in this role for just under five years.
Hall also gained a lot of experience within the industry when he worked at AXA XL, serving as the firm’s Vice President, Alternative Investments. He would spend just under 12 years serving in this role.
In addition, Hall also previously served as Assistant Vice President, Corporate Finance at Travelers, between April 2000- March 2004.
In October 2023, Augment Risk launched its Global Parametric Specialty division, led by Kurt Cripps.
Augment Risk was established in July 2023, backed with up to $100 million in funding from private equity firm Altamont Capital Partners.
