TigerRisk Partners LLC’s insurance-focused investment banking arm, TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory (TCMA), has established a new Bermuda-domiciled vehicle called Panthera Re, which provides its insurance and reinsurance company clients with access to the capital markets.
The new vehicle facilitates access to third-party, or alternative reinsurance capital and insurance-linked securities (ILS) investors for TigerRisk’s insurance and reinsurance customers, in an efficient manner.
TigerRisk explains that Panthera Re has the ability to transform a broad variety of risks and contract types, ultimately making them accessible and tradeable to capital markets investors.
The firm explains that the vehicle offers standardised documentation that streamlines the process, adding that it can also be used for more bespoke transactions.

Alternative, third-party reinsurance or ILS capital continues to expand its remit, consistently increasing its size and influence within the global reinsurance industry. In recent years, the growth of alternative capital has outpaced that of the traditional market, and the need for efficient risk transfer is constantly evolving.
