Tokio Marine HCC adds trio of underwriters to Professional Risk team

Specialty insurer Tokio Marine HCC has appointed James Stretton, Nicola Lowe and Andrew Matthews as underwriters within its Professional Risk team.

tokio-marine-hcc-logoStretton will join Tokio Marine HCC’s London office as an underwriter from QBE, where he has spent the previous 14 years.

While at QBE, Stretton was responsible for the company’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) Professional Indemnity (PI) portfolio, training the commercial PI underwriting team and managing wording developments.

Meanwhile, Lowe will become a development underwriter at Tokio Marine HCC’s Birmingham office, having most recently served as a commercial account handler at Arthur J. Gallagher, before which she worked at JLT and Brit Insurance.

Finally, Matthews will join the company’s Bristol office as a development underwriter, having previously spent four years at law firm Kennedys as a claims handler.

“We are continuing to grow our Professional Risks team both here in London and across our regional offices,” said Tony Browne, Managing Director for Professional Risks at Tokio Marine HCC.

“I expect this investment in three talented new colleagues to assist in our ability to maintain market leading service levels and to support our growth strategy,” Browne continued. “I would like to welcome James, Nicola and Andrew to the fold and look forward to working with them.”

Earlier this year, Tokio Marine HCC also bolstered its book of Professional Risk accounts in the SME sector with the appointment of Ian MFadyean as Business Development Manager in its regional sales team in Bristol.
