Tokio Marine Kiln expands cyber team with series of appointments

Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has announced a series of appointments to further bolster its presence within the cyber market.

tokio marine kilnFirstly, the company has confirmed that Aoife Woulfe, former Head of intellectual property (IP) at TMK, has been appointed to the position of Head of delegated cyber. In her previous role as head of IP, Woulfe played a significant role in transforming TMK’s IP underwriting process, as well as improving efficiency, resulting in the proposition becoming a market leader by both line and book size.

Overall, she brings a wealth of expertise towards her new role, where she will focus on developing TMK’s small and medium enterprise cyber offering.

Following this change, TMK’s IP book will be led by Ellie Webb.

Secondly, Paul Gooch, previous Head of cyber open market, will now oversee TMK’s large account portfolio as divisional Head of large account cyber.

At the same time, TMK will further expand its cyber team with new appointments. This includes Daniel Moore who joins the London team as a cyber underwriter from July 18. A former barrister, Moore joins TMK from Arch Insurance International where he most recently served as a cyber and technology underwriter. He has also previously worked for Clyde & Co and AmTrust.

Sam Bye also joins the specialist insurer as a cyber underwriter, based in Singapore, from August 1. Bye brings more than a decade of experience within underwriting cyber, technology and professional indemnity risks to the role. He joins from AXA XL, where he held the position of cyber & technology PI manager. In the role, he was responsible for portfolio exposure, and implementing underwriting guidelines and ransomware risk management strategy.

These appointments follow the recent news that TMK has established a standalone Cyber & Enterprise Risk division and has branched out the team’s cyber experience beyond insurance with the appointment of cyber security specialist, Luke Fardell.
