Cayman islands-based reinsurer Topsail Re has appointed Brook Farlow as a Reinsurance Staff Accountant.
She joins the firm after a distinguished 24 years of service at Carolina Farmers Mutual Insurance Company.
In her most recent position at the firm, she served as Chief Executive Officer and President. However, throughout her tenure at Carolina Farmers, she also held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Accountant, Agent, and Underwriter.
Additionally, Farlow also holds NC Property & Casualty and NC Life & Health Insurance Licenses.
Commenting on her new role, Farlow said: “I am thrilled to join the Topsail Re team and look forward to learning and growing alongside a team of top shelf reinsurance professionals.”
Topsail Re launched in late 2018 ahead of the January 2019 reinsurance renewals. The company is led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, David D. Johnson.
In 2021, Topsail Re entered into a program management agreement with UFG Insurance.
