Cayman islands-based reinsurer Topsail Re has announced the appointment of Megan Burik to the role of Actuarial Analyst.
Joining form Farmers Insurance, Burik brings over six years of analytical experience to her new role.
During her time at Farmers, she held a number of positions most recently as Business Analyst, a role she held for close to two years.
Prior to that she served as Actuarial Team Member and Customer Care Advocate. Burik also spent some time at Fifth Third Bank and USA LAbels.
Burik commented: “I have been so impressed with the vast knowledge the entire team has to offer. I am excited to learn the ins and outs of the reinsurance industry from such experienced professionals in order to build upon and become a part of Topsail’s continued success.”
Topsail Re’s new hire is the company’s most recent appointment following Justin Jordan, who was appointed Director of Corporate Finance in October 2023.
The reinsurer also recently appointed a new Director of Client Services, Trina Gooch, who is a seasoned reinsurance professional holding over 30 years of primary and reinsurance underwriting, management, and regulatory experience in Property and Casualty lines of business.
