TransRe promotes Geary to head of Cyber Liability team

TransRe has announced that Elizabeth Geary has been appointed leader of its global Cyber Liability team, replacing recently departed cyber risk head Kara Owens.

TransRe logoIn her new role, Geary will oversee TransRe’s existing cyber business, and manage all risk analytics relating to cyber exposures.

She will also support the development of new research, products, and services to expand TransRe’s global portfolio and better inform and protect clients against the threat of emerging cyber risks.

Geary has held increasingly responsible reinsurance underwriting and risk management roles in specialty casualty and property business over her 15 year career at TransRe.

She will succeed TransRe’s previous head of cyber risk, Kara Owens, who recently announced she was leaving the company to become Managing Director of Markel’s Global Cyber Executive.
