TransRe, the wholly owned reinsurance subsidiary of Alleghany Corporation, has announced a series of promotions within its underwriting management team, as well as some structural changes.
Firstly, Paul Bonny and Ken Brandt have been promoted to Co-Presidents of Global Underwriting Operations.
Bonny previously served as President of the Europe and Asia Pacific Business Unit, having joined TransRe in 1982.
Brandt, meanwhile, was formerly President of the North American Business Unit, a position that will now be assumed by Paul McKeon.
In turn, Elizabeth Geary will take over McKeon’s role as Chief Underwriting Officer for North America, while Rhett Hewitt will replace Geary as Global Cyber Leader.
Additionally, Lisa Moser has been promoted to Global Property Management Leader, reporting to TransRe CEO Mike Sapnar.
TransRe claimed that this new role would support its underwriting teams and optimise the global portfolio.
And finally, John Fugit has been appointed as New York Property Leader, taking over the role previously held by Moser.
All promotions were made from within the company, and were designed to reflect a changing business environment, TransRe said.
