UIB names David Waller as Divisional Director – Marine

International re/insurance broker UIB has announced the appointment of David Waller as Divisional Director within its Marine Division.

uib-logoWaller has over 15 years of experience as a Marine insurance broker working with complex and difficult risks in cargo and stock throughput from a global portfolio, with skills in managing key market relationships, growing books of business and ensuring client retention.

Before joining UIB, Waller spent four years with Roanoke International Brokers Limited (RIBL) as Executive Director, where he led its cargo and stock throughput business.

Prior to RIBL, he was the Divisional Director of Arthur J. Gallagher (UK) Limited, focusing on cargo and stock throughput risks.

Waller commented: “I am looking forward to spending the next stage of my career with UIB and excited to begin working with the well-regarded London Marine Team and across UIB’s international reach to help build on the Group’s substantive client base and distribution network.”

Based in London, he will report to Andrew Little, Managing Director – Head of Marine.

Commenting on the appointment, Little said: “Our Marine Division at UIB already possesses a plethora of knowledge and expertise and David’s appointment only serves to make our offering even more compelling.

“His experience in the Marine insurance sector and his portfolio of contacts will enhance the value of the business in a multitude of areas. We are looking forward to inducting him as a key member of our team.”
