Verisk, a data analytics and technology provider to the global re/insurance industry, has promoted Harry White to Head of Property Claim Services (PCS).
PCS is a Verisk business providing independent industry loss estimates for catastrophe and non-catastrophe events worldwide to the global insurance, reinsurance, and insurance-linked securities markets.
In his new role, White will lead the unit as it aims to provide the market with trusted catastrophe loss information and evolve its capabilities across natural and specialty catastrophe events.
White joined Verisk 16 years ago and has since held roles of increasing responsibility across the business.
Most recently, he served as Head of Commercial Strategy for PCS. In the role, he led commercial strategy and direction, supported growth in PCS’s industry loss estimate capabilities and helped strengthen engagement with clients and market participants.
Rob Newbold, President, Verisk Catastrophe and Risk Solutions, commented on the appointment, “Harry brings deep knowledge of financial markets and a strong understanding of how insurers and bond market participants use risk analytics to assess and manage risk.
“His experience, client relationships and understanding of the reinsurance and ILS markets position him to lead PCS with clarity and momentum as the business enters its next phase of growth and innovation.”
White added, “PCS has earned the trust of global insurers, reinsurers and capital market participants by delivering timely, credible catastrophe loss information.
“I’m excited to build on that foundation as we continue advancing the data and analytics that help the market make more confident decisions and better understand the impact of catastrophic events.”
