Multi-class and multi-territory international managing general agent (MGA) platform Volante Global has announced the launch of Nordic-focused MGA Bridge Underwriting AB.
The Stockholm-based specialist underwriting MGA is set to be led by Torkel Lindberg as Managing Director and will work exclusively with key brokers and agents across the region, offering property, liability, financial lines and commercial combined insurance solutions.

Lindberg brings over 25 years of market experience spanning both the underwriting and broking communities.
Most recently, he was General Manager for the Nordic region at QBE Insurance, and prior to this held senior positions at both Marsh and Willis in Sweden.
As part of Volante, the company will capitalise on the administrative capabilities it provides, using the firm’s highly automated, fully integrated operating infrastructure to ensure responsive underwriting and deliver efficiency at all stages in the process, from initial proposal through to policy issuance.

Bridge Underwriting will begin underwriting in March 2018 – the launch closely follows that of UK commercial motor specialist MGA, Edison Motor, which launched on the Volante platform in January.
