Re/insurance broker Willis Towers Watson has appointed Elizabeth Bart and Frédéric Matte as directors in the company’s North America Property & Casualty practice within its Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business.
Bart is Chicago based and will be responsible for reserving, including delivery of consulting services and technology sales. She will report to Klayton Southwood, P&C West Division business leader, ICT.
Bart started her career at Towers Perrin as a pension associate and then spent four years at CNA in pricing, reserving and underwriting. She joins the company from Milliman, where she was most recently a consulting actuary and performed reserve studies covering a variety of P&C lines.
Matte will be based in Montreal and will support reserving and capital modelling analyses focusing on IFRS 17 implementation and technology solutions for Canadian insurance clients. He will report to Nicolas Beaudoin, head of P&C Canada, ICT.
Matte joins Willis Towers Watson from Promutuel Insurance where he served as senior manager for investments and appointed actuary. Prior to this, Matte was senior manager for risk management. He started his career at Intact Financial Corporation, where he served as senior consultant.
Southwood commented: “We’re pleased to welcome Elizabeth, who brings an array of talent in reserving and reserve studies across cyber liability, workers compensation, auto liability, general liability and medical professional liability. Elizabeth’s specialised experience supports our purpose in delivering the right solutions for clients to help them succeed,” said Southwood.
Beaudoin added: “We’re excited for Frédéric to join our team and strengthen our client solutions around reserving, IFRS 17 and capital modelling/enterprise risk management practices. We look forward to tapping into his expertise as well on the asset side and environmental, social and governance-related topics, including the impact of climate change.”
