XL Catlin has announced the appointment of Andrew Coutts to the position of Global Practice Leader for Cargo. The London-based role will see him responsible for managing its global underwriting team, providing clients and brokers with underwriting and claims service.
Coutts joins from Brit Global Specialty, where he served as Cargo Underwriter for close to a decade. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the marine cargo insurance industry and has held several positions within industry trade bodies, including the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) and the International Underwriting Association (IUA).
