Insurer and reinsurer XL Catlin has announced the promotion of Rob McAdams as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for its Global Marine, effective immediately.
McAdams has 20 years of industry experience and was previously UK/Ireland Marine Leader at the firm. Prior to joining legacy XL he worked for Reliance National in New York, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, and a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter.
Commenting on the appointment, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Global Lines at XL Catlin, Doug Howat, said; “We are delighted that Rob has stepped into this position. Rob has been with XL Catlin since 2000 and during this time has honed his expertise spanning Hull, Ports & Terminals, and Global Marine & Upstream Energy Liabilities.
“He has shown great leadership skills in his former roles and has exactly the right experience and expertise to steer strategy for our Marine team at a global level.”
