Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd., has appointed Trevor Gallagher as Head of US Facultative, where he will report to Anthony Izzo, Global Head of Reinsurance Distribution and Facultative.
In the role, Gallagher will lead Everest’s expanding US Facultative business, that is focused on cultivating best-in-class talent, as well as broadening Everest’s portfolio, with dedicate service to the US Facultative and Hybrid market.
In addition, the company’s Canada Facultative business, led by Tom Butler, rounds out Everest’s strong presence and leadership in North America.
Overall, Gallagher brings more than 25 years of robust casualty insurance leadership expertise towards his new role. He joins Everest from American International Group (AIG), where most recently he served as Executive Vice President of National Accounts, a role in which he was responsible for managing the specialty portfolio and AIG Risk Management business strategy as well as driving profitable underwriting results.
During his tenure at AIG, Gallagher also led the Major Accounts Primary Casualty business as well as the Transportation Division.
He started his career in underwriting at Reliance Insurance Company.
