Alliant hires William Callahan from Willis Towers Watson

Alliant Insurance Services, the U.S specialty insurance brokerage firm, has hired Willis Towers Watson’s (WTW) William Callahan as Senior Vice President.

Alliant LogoCallahan has spent the previous two decades at WTW, where he also served as Senior Vice President in the broker’s New York office.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in the re/insurance industry and has worked with a diverse range of clients with regional, national, and global operations.

Over his career, Callahan has focused in particular on the property and casualty (P&C) space and is known for designing customised insurance solutions that reduce liability, cut costs, and provide long-term strategic advantages.

In his new position, Alliant said that Callahan would continue to be based in New York, and would be tasked with providing a full range of insurance and risk management solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients.

“Bill is regarded for his ability to listen closely to his clients’ needs and respond with highly customized risk and insurance solutions across a range of verticals,” said Bob Bennetsen, Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director at Alliant.

“His breadth of expertise and longstanding relationships will play a key role in our ongoing growth within the key strategic Northeast region,” Bennetsen added.

Prior to joined WTW, Callahan spent ten years at Hobbs Group, where he served as Vice President, having joined the firm in 1987.
