Global professional services firm Aon has appointed Sherif Zakhary as Chief Executive Officer of its Strategy and Technology Group within Reinsurance Solutions, effective immediately.
Based in New York, Zakhary will lead over 500 colleagues worldwide to accelerate the evolution of Aon’s insurance consulting capabilities. The role will also see him enable clients to make better business decisions that navigate volatility, optimize capital, and drive performance and growth.
In the role, Zakhary will report to to Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.
Prior to taking on this role, Zakhary was previously co-head of Aon’s strategy consulting team for insurers.
Additionally, he has also previously held senior positions at Guy Carpenter, Zurich and MetLife.
Aon’s Strategy & Technology Group was launched in early 2022. The group takes a holistic view of insurers’ businesses, by combining consulting and software to provide data-driven, actionable insights.
The team also informs and advises re/insurers and capital providers on a range of opportunities, from profitable growth and operational efficiency to building customer relevance and better deploying capital.
Capitalizing on Aon’s professionals across Reinsurance, Commercial Risk, Health, Wealth and Human Capital Solutions, the team is able to deliver capabilities to clients, from advice to execution of transactions.
