Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business has announced the launch of a new life practice group and appointed Colin Dutkiewicz to lead as the firm’s Global Head of Life.
The broker hopes to foster growth in the life market by building upon the firm’s existing annuity transactions and the success of its PathWise platform.
Having joined Aon in 2015, Dutkiewicz brings over 20 years’ experience as a life actuary to the role, having previously worked at Swiss Re as a Director of its Life and Health business management team.
Based in London, Aon plans to use Dutkiewicz’s market experience to galvanise the firm’s regional resources and maximise the power of its global Life capability and grow revenues.
He will report to Nick Frankland, UK Chief Executive Officer of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business, who also has Executive Committee responsibility for the new Life Specialty practice.
“Low interest rates are hindering Life insurers’ ability to yield sufficient returns, while they navigate IFRS, Solvency II and Brexit in a challenging market environment,” said Frankland.
