Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has appointed Helene Madell as Chief Broking Officer (CBO) for Commercial Risk Solutions, Health Solutions and Affinity in the UK, effective April 6th, 2020.
Madell currently serves as Chief Broking Officer for Commercial Risk Solutions, Health Solutions and Affinity for the broker in the Pacific region. In her new UK-based role, she will report to Julie Page, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Aon UK Limited.
She has more than 25 years of broking experience in London and Australian markets, and has held numerous senior roles during her career. Prior to joining Aon two years ago, Madell worked at rival broker Willis Towers Watson for 13 years.
In her new role, she will work alongside Laurence White, who is set to take on a new part-time position as Chairman, UK Broking, Commercial Risk. White has been with Aon for more than three decades, and has served as Chief Broking Officer for Commercial Risk Solutions, Health Solutions and Affinity for the last eight years.
