Bermuda-based managing general agent firm Arcadian Risk Capital has announced the appointment of Bermudian national Chen Foley as Chief Claims Officer, effective august 8th, 2022.
Foley will be tasked with managing all aspects of the Arcadian Group Claims function, ensuring consistent delivery of services in line with the Company’s strategic direction, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Before joining Arcadian, Foley served Liberty Specialty Markets Agency Limited for more than six years, first as Vice President Claims Manager and Coverage Counsel, then as Head of Bermuda Claims.
He has two decades of related experience in the Bermuda and London re/insurance markets as a Claims Manager, Claims Adjuster and Coverage Counsel.
As a qualified lawyer, Foley has experience providing counsel in relation to claims handling strategies, advising on, and representing markets in coverage disputes as well as defending insureds. Additionally, he was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2001 and the Bar of Bermuda in 2002.
