Ascot has named former AIG executive Greg Wolyniec as new Head of Global Strategy – set to lead strategic and investment initiatives as part of the firm’s Executive Committee, the appointment takes effect from 31st July.
Andrew Brooks, Chief Executive Officer of Ascot, said; “we are delighted to have Greg join Ascot in this critical role. “As Head of Global Strategy he will be invaluable as Ascot expands organically and through acquisitions.”
Wolyniec, who brings over 12 years of strategy and M&A experience to his new role, commented; “I am pleased to join this high quality team at Ascot and look forward to an exciting future starting with the successful establishment of the new MGA platform.”
Wolyniec will assist with the formation of a standalone MGA platform that will operate under Ascot while trading as a separate entity to the other AGL businesses: Ascot Underwriting (Syndicate 1414 at Lloyd’s) and Ascot Underwriting Bermuda.
Prior to his appointment with Ascot, he was AIG Senior Managing Director, responsible for leadership of the insurer’s global commercial business strategy and innovation.
