Bermuda-based global specialty insurer Ascot Group has announced the appointment of Xu Cheng as Group Head of Data Strategy & Insights.
In her new role, Cheng will lead and build Ascot’s Group Data Office, overseeing the development and implementation of a global data governance framework, managing data initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders across the company to ensure data quality and accessibility. She will report directly to the Group COO.
Cheng brings over 15 years of experience with a proven track record in data and analytics.
She joined Ascot in October 2021 as Head of Business Intelligence & Insights. Prior to that, she spent four years at The Hartford, most recently serving as Director of Analytics, Insights, Competitive Intelligence, and Technical Product Manager.
Earlier in her career, Cheng held various senior roles at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Travelers Insurance.
In a recent LinkedIn post announcing Cheng’s appointment, Ascot stated, “Her expertise and passion will be instrumental in our ongoing commitment to digitization and innovation.”
