Aspen Insurance Holdings, the Bermudian, Lloyd’s of London and U.S. platformed insurance and reinsurance specialist, has appointed Tim Aman as its new Chief Risk Officer.
Aman joined Aspen earlier this year, but was formally appointed as the new Chief Risk Officer just last week.
Prior to joining Aspen in February 2017, Aman was Principal of Broctuary Inc., an independent Florida-based actuarial, broking and risk management consultancy which he set up and managed since 2016.
Before that, Aman was Chief Risk Officer at reinsurance firm Montpelier Re for eight years, prior to which he was Managing Director for reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter’s Global Accounts and Latin America and Caribbean broking teams. He had previously been an Actuarial Pricing Officer at St Paul Reinsurance.
Aman replaced Richard Thornton in the role of Chief Risk Officer at Aspen. Thornton has been appointed Group Chief Operating Officer of Aspen in December 2016, a role he fulfills in addition to his responsibilities as Head of Strategy.
