AXIS Insurance, a division of Bermuda domiciled insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has named Brad Randell to Head of Canada Insurance, and Chief Agent, Canada, reporting directly to John Van Decker, President, North American Professional Lines, AXIS Insurance.
Randell’s promotion sees him take responsibility for the oversight of AXIS’ insurance operations in Canada, having first joined the firm in 2008, and most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Professional Lines Unit Leader, Canada.
Prior to AXIS, Randell held a number of underwriting roles at Liberty International Underwriters, as well as Royal Sun Alliance.
Van Decker, commented: “Brad has built a strong reputation within the Canadian specialty insurance market and is a seasoned underwriter with deep expertise across all professional lines classes of business. His appointment to Head of Canada Insurance reaffirms our commitment to the important Canadian specialty lines insurance market.
