AXIS Re, the reinsurance arm of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has announced the appointment of Daniel Osterrieder as North America Account Executive for AXIS Re Strategic Partners.
Osterrieder arrives having spent close to a decade serving across a variety of client management and treaty reinsurance underwriting roles at Swiss Re.
Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Key Account Manager, for Swiss Re’s global account business.
Before that, Osterrieder served as a Senior Treaty Underwriter focused on U.S casualty business.
His new role will see Osterrieder take up responsibility for leading the global client relationships of AXIS Re Strategic Partners.
He joins a team consisting of Herndon Stokes (EMEA), Simon Stirnemann (EMEA), Juan Manuel Martín Leon (EMEA), and Masaya Arao (SAE for Asia and Head of Japan for AXIS Re).
The re/insurer announced AXIS Re Strategic Partners earlier last year, alongside a broader expansion of product and market capabilities.
