Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Shane O’Neill and Ciaran Reddin to the respective roles of head of property and head of professional indemnity and cyber.
The firm said that both men will be based in Dublin. O’Neill joined the firm as a senior property underwriter in 2019 and has over two decades of industry experience. Reddin, meanwhile, has a decade of experience, also joining the firm in 2019 as a senior professional underwriter for the executive and professional lines.
Louise Kidd, country manager for Ireland at BHSI, said: “Shane and Ciaran have played pivotal roles in building our portfolio and bringing BHSI’s values, bespoke solutions, and excellent service to our customers and broker partners in Ireland.
“I am pleased to recognize their contributions with these promotions. In their new leadership roles, they will further elevate our service and solutions and advance our growing and talented teams in Ireland.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, O’Neill was a senior underwriter for property and energy at AIG for over five years. He has also held the role of key underwriting account manager at Aviva and underwriting manager at Willis Management Dublin.
Reddin also moved to BHSI after working at AIG. He began with that firm in 2014 in business development, before becoming a financial lines underwriter in 2015, a senior cyber and professional indemnity underwriter in 2017. He joined BHSI as a senior professional indemnity underwriter for executive and professional lines in 2019.
