Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the appointment of David Corrigan as Head of Property for the UK.
In his new role, based in London, Corrigan will oversee underwriting of BHSI’s comprehensive line of property coverage for a wide range of risks, including Construction, Energy and Mining.
He joins BHSI with more than 25 years of experience in both the UK large corporate property market and the London Market wholesale segment.
Most recently, Corrigan spent five years as Head of Property, Global Corporate & Specialty, at Aviva. He has also held roles at HDI Global SE, and with personal and commercial insurer RSA.
“BHSI continues to drive robust growth across our property portfolio in the UK and throughout Europe,” said Nick Major, UK Country Manager, BHSI. “David has a wealth of experience and shares BHSI’s deeply technical approach to underwriting. I look forward to working with him as we further expand our customer and broker relationships throughout the region.”
BHSI has recently announced a number of appointments, with Corrigan’s being one of the latest ones. In the US, Gabriel Poppie was named Head of Customer & Broker Engagement for the US Central Region.
Dimitry Zilberud, Head of Marine, Australasia, has also been recently appointed to the additional role of Senior Vice President, Head of Marine, Retail US.
