BMS adds David Cameron as exec VP, property treaty

Specialist re/insurance broker BMS has appointed David Cameron as executive vice president, property treaty, ebms-logoffective March 1.

Cameron will join BMS’s Minnesota office and report to Pete Chandler, President and Chief Executive Officer of BMS Re.

He will work with Jeff Irvan, Chief Property Officer, and Kirk Conrad, Chief Analytics Officer, to help expand product offerings.

Cameron was most recently a senior advisor at Renaissance Re from 2015 to 2019 and brings 30 years of reinsurance experience to BMS.

He began his career as a reinsurance broker at E. W. Blanch in 1989, before joining Guy Carpenter in 2000 and then returning to Benfield Blanch in 2001.

He remained there in a range of senior roles as it became Benfield and finally Aon Benfield.

“Our reinsurance operation is rapidly growing with a number of senior hires in recent months,” said Chandler.
