BMS expands London DUA & programme division with speciality hires

Independent specialist re/insurance broker, BMS has expanded its London DUA and programme division with a number of speciality hires.

bms-group-logoThe firm has appointed Richard Wynn as managing director of specialty classes for their London DUA and programmes division.

Wynn, along with Phil Gander and Peter Nyonyintono, join BMS from Marsh to expand BMS’ capabilities in specialty lines.

Gander was appointed as divisional director, whereas Nyonyintono was appointed as a broker in specialty risks. Both of their appointments are effective immediately.

Overall, Wynn brings over 30 years of industry experience towards the role. His global specialty expertise will complement BMS’s existing growth strategy.

Previously he worked for more than 3 years as managing director of Marsh specialty following its merger in 2019 with JLT specialty, where he was a Partner.

Prior to this he spent 18 years working for Howden in a variety of different roles. Firstly, he served as regional practice head Asia, developing the firm’s financial lines business, and before this as executive director Asia, where he held responsibility for the development and placing of wholesale insurance in the APAC region.

He was also previously based in Howden’s Dubai office as an executive director.
