Rob Bredahl, who resigned from reinsurer Third Point Re only a few days ago, has already resurfaced as the new President and Chief Operating Officer of reinsurance brokerage, risk and capital strategic advisory TigerRisk Partners.
Bredahl will join TigerRisk as from the middle of June and in addition to the executive roles will also take a seat on the firms board.
His background across reinsurance broking, underwriting, capital markets and investment banking, as well as experienced gained at a total-return specialist reinsurer, will all assist TigerRisk as it continues to grow its platform and reach.

Most recently, Bredahl worked at Third Point Reinsurance, a firm he was a co-founder of in 2012 and held roles including Chief Underwriting Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, then becoming CEO and President. His resignation from Third Point Re was announced on May 9th.
Bredahl gained a significant amount of his experience in his time working at reinsurance broker Aon Benfield and before the acquisition Benfield itself.
He held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Aon Benfield Securities, Aon’s Investment Banking and insurance-linked securities (ILS) groups, as well as President of the Americas division of Aon Benfield.
Before Aon’s acquisition of Benfield in November 2008, Bredahl was Chief Executive Officer of Benfield U.S. Inc. and of Benfield Advisory.
He joined Benfield in March 2002, prior to which he served as Chief Executive Officer of Inreon PLC and Managing Director and Head of U.S. Derivative Sales for Barclays Capital.
Bredahl joins TigerRisk only a matter of weeks since the former President Tony Ursano left the firm.
